You too can write letters... Sure - nobody knows whether or not it does any good, but we know how effective NOT doing anything is. Even if all they do is count them or weigh them, at least they will know that something's stirring out there. Write them by hand and don't bother with emails - you don't think politicians can deal with technology, do you?

We have a potluck brunch one Sunday a month rotating at different people's houses - first item of business is to eat, then get down to writing letters (then eat some more). We all bring topics of interest to write on and share sample letters, ideas, jokes, and just venting in general. In the space of three hours our small group generates about 60 letters a month on various topics.
